How to do the Project

The guided reflection gives you many questions and a handful of visual prompts to start thinking more deeply about what it is that you do as a commercial artist. I encourage you to write out your responses in a sketchbook or in a drawing app like Procreate, along with supporting images and drawings. The exercise is meant to help you think in more specific terms of who you are and what you do as an illustrator. It should feel casual and fun.

What to Share

There is no correct way to go about these reflections. It’s more of a process than something to become a finished product. I do encourage you to share some of your musings and doodles as you go along. Feel free to share the following on the Projects page of this class:

Photos of your answers in your sketchbook, or
Screen grabs/uploads of your answers in Procreate
Any doodles, drawings and diagrams that you make
Any images of work you’ve made to support your answers
Any images of work that inspires you
Any writing, whether typed or hand-written
