In the United States hundreds of thousands of homeless people live in extremely marginalized conditions. Without protection, often criminalized simply for existing, they are forced to survive on the streets while many states adopt punitive measures against them, prohibiting essential activities like sleeping or eating in public places.
We traverse the southern United States from Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, to Louisiana, aboard buses, the only means of transportation accessible to the poorest. A raw and necessary account, it gives voice to those who resist despite police brutality, social hostility, and institutional indifference.
