Students will learn how to protect each asset type and learn how to achieve asset protection. The course will also cover the different assets between small and medium businesses and larger corporations.
Before you are able to create these security standards, you must first understand what asset security is and how it functions. What will I learn? The concepts, structures, and standards used to monitor and secure assets The differentiation between classification and categorization.
These standards must define the scope of processes, procedures, and practices necessary for protecting cross-departmental assets. Knowledge in this domain is particularly attractive to employers growing or redefining their IT security sector. An asset is any data, device, or other component of the environment that supports information-related activities. Simply protecting those components, either hardware or software, from illicit access, use, disclosure, alteration, destruction, or theft, encompasses access security.
