Chapter 1: North Island
Miriam embarks on her first road trip adventure around New Zealand’s North Island in preparation for her first film role in the country. Starting in the world’s southernmost capital city, Wellington, Miriam digs under the skin of what it means to be a New Zealander, or ‘Kiwi’, today. She uncovers a country uniquely shaped by its relationship with the Indigenous Maori, and also experiences her first rugby match – a game she always thought she loathed.
Chapter 2: South Island
Miriam attends a unique community gym in Auckland, and meets a member of an organised crime gang in Wellington. Crossing into the South Island, she sees the island’s rugged and remote landscape and uncovers stories of great strength, tragedy and spirit.
